Arizona desert landscape at sunrise — Davenport's Rest 36-month program

The 36-Month Journey

Not a program.
A 36-month journey.

Free housing. Free childcare. Counseling, vocational training, spiritual formation, and a vehicle at graduation. Everything you need — for three full years.

What Makes This Different

Everything you need to rebuild — in one place, for 36 months.

Most programs give you 30 days, a referral list, and a handshake. Davenport's Rest gives you something radically different: a complete support ecosystem with no housing costs, no childcare costs, and up to three full years to get back on your feet.

This isn't charity — it's a covenant. We invest deeply in women who are serious about rebuilding their lives, and we walk alongside them every step of the way. The result isn't just survival. It's thriving independence, rooted in faith.

The Ecosystem

Four partners. One complete support system.

No single organization can do everything — and we don't try to. Davenport's Rest is surrounded by a carefully chosen network of campus partners, each bringing deep expertise to a specific dimension of the restoration journey. Together, they form something unprecedented: a complete ecosystem designed for lasting change.

Counseling & Trauma Support

Anchored Services

Healing from the inside out requires professional support — not just encouragement. Anchored Services provides licensed counseling, trauma-informed care, and mental health resources embedded directly into campus life. Their team walks alongside every resident from the first week of stabilization through the final months of launch preparation, ensuring no woman navigates the hard work of restoration alone.

  • Individual & group counseling
  • Trauma-informed therapeutic care
  • Crisis intervention & stabilization
  • Mental health resources & referrals

Vocational Training & Career Development

RISE

Independence requires income — and income requires real, marketable skills. RISE provides hands-on vocational training that equips women with certifiable expertise in fields that actually hire. Working in seamless partnership with Davenport's Rest, RISE ensures that every resident graduates with a clear career pathway, not just a piece of paper.

  • Vocational certification programs
  • Hands-on career pathway training
  • Job placement support
  • Employer network connections

Whole-Person Wellness

Ascent: Wellness & Health

True restoration is physical as much as it is spiritual and emotional. Ascent provides the clinical wellness framework that surrounds and deepens the equine and land-based healing work of Davenport's Rest. Physical health, mental wellness, and nutritional support are woven into an integrated care model — because lasting change requires a body that is cared for, not just a spirit that is renewed.

  • Physical health & wellness support
  • Nutritional guidance & education
  • Whole-person clinical care
  • Integrated wellness programming

Life Skills & Transition Support

Sonship Life

The gap between campus life and full independence is real — and Sonship Life exists to bridge it. From financial literacy and budgeting to the Transportation Independence Initiative, Sonship Life equips every graduate with the practical tools and ongoing mentorship needed to thrive after leaving campus. The relationship doesn't end at graduation. It simply changes form.

  • Financial literacy & budget planning
  • Transportation Independence Initiative
  • Housing transition support
  • Ongoing mentorship network

The Capstone Promise

You leave with the keys to your own future.

We believe that true independence requires mobility. You cannot fully direct your own life if you cannot physically get where you need to go.

That is why every family who successfully completes our 36-month journey is awarded a fully titled vehicle, secured and managed through our Sonship Life network. You leave our campus not just with a renewed spirit and a career — but with the keys to your own future.

Transportation Independence Initiative

A fully titled vehicle awarded to every graduate of the 36-month program — secured through the Sonship Life network at no cost to you.

Fully Titled in Your Name

The vehicle is yours — not a loan, not a lease. It is awarded to you as a graduation gift, fully titled in your name.

Secured Through Sonship Life

Our Sonship Life network manages the sourcing and transfer process, ensuring every graduate receives a reliable, road-ready vehicle.

True Mobility = True Independence

A career, a home, and a vehicle. You leave Davenport's Rest with everything you need to build a life that is entirely your own.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Yes. Housing and childcare are fully covered for the duration of your stay — up to three years. You are not charged rent, utilities, or childcare fees. The program is designed to remove those financial barriers entirely so you can focus on rebuilding.

Davenport's Rest is a faith-based program rooted in Christian values. While you don't need to have all the answers, applicants should have a genuine desire to grow in their relationship with God and engage with the spiritual formation aspects of the program.

Yes. Single mothers may bring up to four children. Childcare is provided on campus, and the program is designed to support the whole family — not just the mother. Your children are welcome and cared for here.

The program is designed for up to three years, but we understand that life is not always linear. We work with each woman individually and will always seek the best outcome for her and her family.

Each week includes morning devotions, skills training, practical campus work, community meals, and evening reflection time. There are also weekly workshops on topics like finances, parenting, career development, and health. The schedule is structured but not rigid — there is space to breathe.

Every family who successfully completes the full 36-month program is awarded a fully titled vehicle through our Sonship Life network — at no cost to you. We believe true independence requires mobility. You cannot fully direct your own life if you cannot physically get where you need to go. The vehicle is yours, titled in your name, as a graduation gift. It is one of the most tangible ways we say: you are ready, and we believe in your future.

Yes. Davenport's Rest welcomes women from all walks of life, ethnicities, and backgrounds. The common thread is not where you've been — it's where you want to go. We are looking for women who are serious about rebuilding and willing to engage with the faith-based framework of the program.

Graduation is not the end of the relationship. You leave with a vocational certification, a housing transition plan, a financial plan, a vehicle titled in your name, and an ongoing mentorship network. Our goal is that you never feel like you're on your own — even after you leave campus.

Yes — and in many cases, that is part of the plan. Especially in Phase 2 and Phase 3, residents are encouraged to pursue employment, education, and career development as part of their preparation for full independence. The program is designed to support that transition, not prevent it.
